What does the county treasurer do?

The Davis County Treasurer manages a staff of four full-time and two part-time employees. The main responsibilities of the office are to:

  • bill and collect real property taxes on over 115,000 parcels
  • collect personal property taxes for the County Assessor
  • distribute taxes to taxing entities (e.g., cities, sewer districts, etc.)
  • deposit and invest county funds in accordance with Title 51, Chapter 7, State Money Management Act
  • receipt and deposit funds from various county departments
